Margaret and Brian James, your hosts, welcome you to Cricket Field House, luxury b&b accommodation on the fringe of Salisbury city centre. With a wealth of local knowledge, they will ensure that you get the most from your stay. Plenty of top tips on country pubs, local trivia and places to visit can be expected on check-in.

The b&b property was originally a Game Keeper’s cottage, built in the 1800’s, as part of the Wilton Estate. Over the past thirty years, the James family have sympathetically extended and updated the accommodation, with 2015 heralding the start of our full interior refurbishment. We have doubled the size of our B&B Suites with each of the large rooms redesigned and refitted with quality furniture and fabrics to create luxury room interiors. Our Suites provide a fitting home from home for our discerning guests – without cooking breakfast of course! We have also created a wonderful self-contained luxury apartment, which allows you a little more room to spread out as well as additional facilities perfect for a longer stay in Wiltshire.

Cricket Field House bed and breakfast is a great base for exploring South Wiltshire and beyond. Our location is set back and peaceful, yet within a short drive, you can easily take a direct route to Stonehenge, Salisbury Cathedral, Wilton House and many more of the South’s top historic attractions. We even have the historic church where poet George Herbert was buried located within metres of us!

Please visit our ‘What’s on in Salisbury’ page for details of up to the minute events and attractions in the Wiltshire area. Alternatively, browse our blog posts which detail a range of ‘local knowledge’ – ideally for gaining inspiration on where to go from restaurants to those local hidden gems!

Cricket Field House offers a range of superb facilities for our b&b guests. Enjoy the benefit of a large, free car park with CCTV cameras for security, so that you may browse Salisbury safe in the knowledge that your car is secure at the b&b. There are excellent local public transport links helping you to get out and about without hunting for a city centre car park as well as local taxi firms. If you prefer to walk, we can offer help and advice on the best local country walks – just the ticket to work off our fantastic breakfasts made with fresh local ingredients.

Whether you are looking for beautiful views, a romantic weekend away, a City break with a country feel or somewhere to retreat after a day at the office, we pride ourself on providing you with all you require for a restful and relaxing stay.
